Plus Size Corsets - You Can Look Great in One Whatever Your Size or Shape

Corsets are one of only a few items of clothing that looks as good on bigger girls as they do on anybody else. The way they are designed makes them perfect for all sizes as they can be tightened or let out to perfectly accommodate any weight fluctuations.
Most women love the look of a corset because it can enhance or create that gorgeous hourglass body shape that has been a symbol of femininity since way back when, and well, who doesn't love the look of a gorgeous woman with all those womanly curves.

Plus size girls are already ahead of the game in the curves department, but sometimes you just want your proportions to be a little tighter when you're trying to cut that neat, sexy hourglass figure. That's where a plus size corset can be the answer to your prayers.
I use the term plus size corsets, but strictly speaking, depending on how a corset is designed, plus size girls can wear corsets that would also fit smaller women. Corsets aren't quite one-size-fits-all, but sizing is flexible in most due to the lace-up back enabling you to adjust the fit to suit.

Do corsets suit bigger girls?

Of course they do. If you're worried that you don't have the right body shape or that you're too large, you will wonder why you waited so long to buy one once you discover what a great fitting corset will do for you.
For larger girls with a little extra padding, wearing a corset takes away all the hassle of jiggly bits and lumps and bumps making you feel self-conscious, because once you've adjusted the corset to your liking the corset will do all the work and make sure that everything stays where it should, meaning you get to keep your slender waist and flattened tummy without having to hold your breath all night.

How do plus size girls wear corsets?
This question comes up often because you can't help but picture magazines full of thin models wearing cute corsets and wondering if that look would work for you, a bigger girl. But the good news is that although you might require a plus size corset instead, you can still wear it in all the same ways.
Plus size girls are more than capable of pulling off those, in-his-dreams, sexy lingerie looks with a cute corset and some matching panties, or even wear a more casual corset for a night out on the town, or paired with some jeans for a hot date.

Time of Gothic Corset Fashion

red corsetGothic Corset is a stark black or dark style of clothing worn by the members of the Goth subculture. Gothic corsets fashion, which is considered by many as a protest against the extravagance, can be described as a profusion of dark velvets, fishnets, lace, tight corsets, gloves and leather shaded with scarlet. Gothic clothing also features Dark make up such as black lips, dark eyeliner, dark finger-nails and black dyed hair.

black corset for saleThe Gothic time is usually divided into two periods, Early Gothic period (1200-1350) and Late Gothic period (1350-1450). The outfits in the Early Gothic period were more sophisticated, graceful and simpler in cut than the Romanesque period. Sleeves used to be tight and the forearms were given more importance. Minimal trimmings on the Gothic clothing were also a feature of the Early Gothic period. The Gothic dresses were usually longer and the necklines were deep. Styles changed quickly during the Late Gothic period.
The period moved from the earlier flowing draperies that metamorphosed, into fabrics that kept on becoming more and stiffer with the passage of time. During the 15th century, the extremes were mostly in the upper silhouette. Crisp pleats, tight belts, padded doublets, leg-o-mutton sleeves were also some of the important features of the Gothic clothing in the Late Gothic period.

In the Early Gothic period, men wore hair at a sensible length often in a bob to the jaw line with a bang across the forehead. Men often bleached their hair as blond hair was popular. Few men wore beards. In the Late Gothic period, men wore hair bobbed with neatly curled ends. Young girls in both periods wore their hair loose, flowing upon their shoulders. But after marriage, they used to confine their hair in a bun at the nape. They also used to wear many types of hair pieces, such as wimple to cover it.

Gothic corset is an important piece of Gothic clothing. It shapes the body of a girl like an hourglass. It was very popular during the Victorian and medieval ages. Even today, Gothic corset is widely popular as even today, hourglass shape of a girls is considered as aesthetic and flattering. At the outset, a pirate shirt was very uncomfortable to wear. It is only with the passage of time that the garment became more soft and convenient to wear.

Cotton bloomers, lace-trimmed long skirt and flowing gauzy skirts are some of those parts of pirate clothing that are very comfy to wear in the summer. Men wear shirts with ruffles, buckles and lacing that look just like pirate shirts. In summer, male Goths wear light natural fiber shirts and short black trousers, accessorized with wide-brimmed hats, black umbrellas and silver ornaments. Gothic clothing is incomplete without Gothic boots.

Corset Training Before And After Effects

Corset training, waist training or 'tight-lacing' is the process of cinching in the waist over time with the use of a corset. It's not to be undertaken lightly and as with anything body altering there is a right way and a wrong way. Lets take a look at how to do it properly and what sort of results you can expect.

Corset Training Properly -

A Word Of Warning

Wearing a corset is a great way of losing weight, it instantly takes inches off the waistline boosting confidence, which in turn helps the wearer persevere with their diet and waist training. However, its important to corset train properly! There's no point

making yourself uncomfortable by lacing too tight too soon. You can get back pains, stomach cramps and occasionally faint if your not sensible - believe me I've suffered the uncomfortable pains of lacing too tightly. Your body should feel supported and hugged by your corset, it should not feel like your body's wrestling with it. You should put your corset on and lace it so its snug, then walk around in it for 20 minutes; do your hair, put on your makeup, then when it starts to feel loose tighten it up again so it's snug once more. You can do this a few times but never put it on and go straight for maximum waist reduction. It won't do your body or your corset any good.

What To Expect

You can expect your first 2-4 inches to be easy, it may take you only 1-3 months to manage a 4 even 5 inch reduction but then it can take 6 months to a year per half inch. The body easily compresses a certain amount but after that your constricting internal organs and bone so you should proceed with caution and under the supervision of your doctor. Most people are happy with less than 5 inches but there are extreme tight-lacers like Cathie Jung who has a 15 inch waist.

Corset Training And Weight Loss

The 5 inch reduction mentioned above does not include weight loss, it assumes your already your ideal weight. So there's no hard and fast rule for what to expect when you combine waist training with weight loss. The advantage of corset training to lose weight is that the corset acts like a gastric band preventing you from eating large portions and therefore requiring less willpower to lose the desired weight.

Training Corsets - How to Choose the Best One

corsets for sale, red, balack, brown corsetWouldn't you love to have a shapely figure with a small waist? Lots of people use training corsets these days in order to get a wonderful hourglass shape. These corsets hold the abdomen in really tight and have to be worn for extended periods until the ribs change their alignment slightly in order to get your torso in the shape you desire. They are easily available these days because many lingerie stores sell them. However, you need to know how to choose them well so that you get the best result for the least amount of effort.

overbust corsetOne of the first things you should consider is whether you want a readymade or custom made training corset. Custom made ones will obviously fit you the best and give you excellent results without putting you through any inconvenience. Readymade ones might not fit very well but they are much cheaper. If you can select the right size for you (a couple of sizes smaller than your current size) then you will get the desired shape without having to spend too much money.

black corsetThe material that training corsets are made of is also very important. They have to be very sturdy because this is the only way they can help change the shape of the body. A spiral steel boned corset with a minimum of 12 steel bones will be the best choice because it is very strong and durable. Pick up one made of cotton instead of silk or satin because it will last longer. Cotton will not look as attractive as silk, lace or satin, but this corset is a very functional one and is not meant to be used as part of sexy lingerie.

black corsetAvoid training corsets that have zips as fasteners even though they might seem to be more convenient at first glance. Zips are prone to breaking and they will certainly not be able to withstand the pressure of heavy duty waist cinching. Buy ones that have busks instead because they will last long and give your torso the kind of support and pressure it requires.
Silver blue corsetYou will be able to make your waist as narrow as possible if you use the right type of training corset. You will have to wear one for at least 4 months almost continuously in order to start seeing results. You will be glad you put in the effort when you see the envious and admiring glances you draw.

Woman's Day - Changing Times

The world would be celebrating the woman's day on March 8th and it is the time when we should pay homage to the women in our life and a woman in general. Even our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru once said: "You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women". So it is the time when we take a closer look at the status of women on India and the spirit of womanhood.
A woman plays a plethora of roles in our lives as a sister, daughter, wife, mother and teacher to name a few. She does so with utmost care and affection without getting credit or notice. The Woman's Day serves as a reminder to all of us about the importance of a woman in our lives and appreciate the contributions of a woman.

The day is celebrated globally on 8th March with some countries declaring the day as a national holiday. Though, the day commemorates the story of everyday woman but the day brings together woman all across the globe and they celebrate it as a clan. There seems to be no linguistic, ethnic, cultural and economic boundary among women and they feel united on the day. The whole woman clan is suffering at the hands of the patriarchal male dominated society across the world and they are protesting since time immemorial. People hardly take a notice of it or if they do notice the valor of a woman they snub or forget it soon.
A woman's outcry of equal footing in the male dominated society is found many times with least result. A peace lover at heart, a woman has always longed for a peaceful society irrespective of their cast, creed, religion and nationality. Be it the sexual strike in ancient Greece by Lysistrata (a play of the same name by Aristophanes is a testimony) to restore peace, the march by Parisian women during the French Revolution for liberty or the famous strike for bread and peace in Russia in 1917 that finally gave the way for the present Woman's Day.
In India, a woman is never believed to be at the same pedestal as a man but the times appear to have changed in recent years. The foray of women in various sectors in the past two decades is a good example to the fact. There are many women making their presence felt in various fields like sports, business or politics. Be it Saina Nehwal in Badminton, Sania Mirza in Tennis, Anju Booby George in Athletics, Indra Nooyi of Pepsi, Lalita Gupte of ICICI Bank, Vidya Chhabria of Jumbo Group or Sonia Gandhi as Congress President. They all have made an indelible mark in their respective fields.
The woman of toady is not restricted to home as a wife or mother but has entered into the corporate sector as a colleague also. She brings dedication to work with care and affection which adds dynamism to the ambience of workplace.
On the flip side, there seems to be rise in crimes against women at the workplaces with their modesty being offended many a times. People in general want to see woman in specific roles and they are not in any mood to welcome this healthy change which might be threatening to their machismo. It is also been said, though in hidden chambers, "Do not employ women". The low figures of women employees holding senior positions (3 percent) and very low overall figures (5-6 percent) gives a clear picture of reality.

There are not many women who are able to hold their fort against the society and prefer to lead a quieter life and are thus dominated upon. A survey reveals that there has not been a drastic change in the way a young woman of 20 something leads her life in the past 20 years or so. There are not many meaty roles on offer in Indian Film industry in the recent years and the female lead is just a mannequin in front of the camera. This is a visible change in the modern Indian film Industry.
The emancipation of woman is primarily seen as:
1. A person who can smoke in full public view.
2. A person who can party hard.
3. A person who is comfortable in having drinks in public places.
4. A person who can use slang language as their male counterparts do.
5. An open minded person about their relationship.
6. A person who makes a first move in a relationship.
7. A person who shows Public Display of Affection more.
To be honest, these are definitely the signs of change but not the right ones. We would like to see a girl getting an equal opportunity as her brother, getting appropriate education to get a firm footing, representation in all the sectors equally, appreciating their talent as equals, stringent laws to protect the crime against women and their application as soon as possible.
Maybe the time has come for woman to lead from the front and show us the strength that she possesses. This might be the time for change, for a new woman leader to be a torch bearer.

Redresseur: This style was popular between early eighteen and nineteenth century and was custom made for children between 12 and 16 years of age. Its purpose was to shape the upper body. Since adolescence is believed to be the period in which the body is shaped, this piece of clothing was worn to get a great permanent shape for the torso.

Waist Training Corsets - An Elegant Way to Reduce Your Waist Size

Wouldn't you just love to reduce your waist size and get an hourglass shaped body? Whatever your size is, it is possible to shape your body properly with the help of the right waist training corsets. As a matter of fact, you can reduce your waist size by three or four inches if you wear the correct ones on a regular basis. However, you need to be able to select the right kind of corsets so that you get the results you desire without harming your body in any way.
The best waist training corsets are ones that are sturdy rather than merely decorative. Corsets made of lace and satin are great to get your partner's pulse racing in the bedroom. However, they are absolutely no use in helping shape your torso. You need to buy a corset that has spiral steel boning with at least 12 pieces of wide steel inside it. The steel boning should be encased well so that you do not feel any discomfort when you wear them. In addition, it should be lined with very sturdy material which will be able to withstand the constant pressure of the tight lacing. After all, you have to wear the corset really tight in order to make it change your body's shape.

The best waist training corsets should be made of absorbent cotton because you cannot risk harming your skin. If you wear synthetic materials very close to your skin over extended periods there is a chance that you will get all sorts of skin infections.
You should buy these garments from a reliable store because durability and strength are of the greatest importance. In addition, they should have the right shape because you shouldn't harm your internal organs and bones by wearing badly shaped ones. A well-shaped undergarment will not press down on your diaphragm too much and you will not have any problems breathing or doing normal work. Choose one that has an under bust style that does not extend too low over the hips because this is the style that restricts your movements the least.
You have to wear waist training corsets at least 6 days every week in order to change your body shape gradually. In addition to getting a beautiful hourglass shape for good, you will also have a very ladylike posture. Select the best undergarments so that you can look good in any clothes and also without them!
